We set out on a unique family adventure into the deep jungles of Western Belize, aboard La Capitana Pontoon Boat.

Filled with excitement we geared up with helmets, life preservers, coolers with drinks and food, first aid kits, and all we needed for an unforgettable overnight in the jungle!

First we went on relaxing boat ride on the pristine Upper Macal River Lagoon, where we spotted some birds and other wildlife…We even got to see the Vaca Hydroelectric Dam.

We visited three gorgeous waterfalls. We swam right under one of these beautiful falls. This is an experience I won’t forget anytime soon:-)

After a full day of swimming and spending some remarkable family time together, we hiked to our campsite located right along the Privasion Creek!

After we set up our tents, we took the kids to the creek right below our camp ground for another swim and refreshing bath before dinner.

After some delicious dinner B.B.Q., we roasted marshmallows, shared stories over the campfire and finally called it a night.

The next morning after breakfast, we hiked back to the boat and came home! What an amazing experience! I can’t wait to do this all over again!
